My baby you’ll be

If you read my last post it’s no secret that this whole business of sending my Joe off to Kindergarten has me a little weepy and apparently I’m not the only one. I found out that one morning last week after I dropped him off and left the classroom, he cried for me. (Am I a horrible mother if this makes me smile…it means he misses me , I feel loved.)

Joe never mentioned his crying episode to me (probably because it lasted all but 10 seconds) and I didn’t find out until a few days later from another mom. When I asked Joe about his tears he said it was because I just didn’t give him a proper goodbye hug and kiss before I left.

My bad. I’m willing to make sure that never happens again.

Worry not Joe because I will give you hugs and kisses from now until you just wish I’d leave you alone, until you’re as old as I am and even longer whether you like it or not…I am your Mom after all.

To quote Robert Munsch, “I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be”.
