Garden Harvest
Summer seemed endless here with the warm sunshine and blue skies. I almost can’t believe yesterday was the first day of Fall but then I look up and notice the colorful foliage on the trees, the leaves scattered on the lawn and the crisp evenings when the sun has set after painting the sky a canvas of brilliant colors I am reminded that yes it is indeed Fall.
I can also tell fall has arrived by the bright orange pumpkins in the garden and unearthing the root vegetables that have been reaching deep into the rich soil.
Mmmmmmmm delicious. I made farmer sausage soup with our corn and potatoes, I hope to grill or bake our root vegetables and my crisp orange carrots are perfect raw for this carrot soup recipe I just discovered.
How is your harvest?
