Getting the balance right

Around here, we talk a lot about the different between omega-6 and omega-3 essential fatty acides and the importance of getting the balance right.


Omega-6 is pro-inflammatory and omega-3 is anti-inflammatory. Both are essential for good health however the Western diet typically contains far too much omega-6 fatty acids from such things as seed and vegetable oils. Research is telling us, this high omega-6 to omega-3 ratio could be contributing to our high rates of disease.
