I’m A Basket Case

Before you agree with this self diagnosis of being a basket case, please understand that The Basket Cases was our team name on a recent MS Grape Escape – Cycle for a Cure fundraiser.

The MS Grape Escape is a fun annual fundraising event for the good cause of finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.
I have a dear friend who has been diagnosed with MS but she is not letting that define her or limit her or dampen her spirits and lives each moment to the fullest with a smile on her face and a heart full of faith, gratitude and love.  She has rallied a group of her supporters together and we all go out cycling throughout Langley having lunch stops at parks and areas of interests and pit stops and tastings at the different wineries along the way.

Ohhhhh the fun, the laughs, the sore bums and an unfortunate little collision with a squirrel (who walked…well actually ran away from the accident).
At the end of two days cycling 140 km I may have felt a little sore but am pleased with what was accomplished and look forward to being a Basket Case and riding again next year.
