Pumpkin Patches Worth A Visit

There are a handful of great pumpkin patches around here.  Quaint, family run farms in the business of agri-tourism that boast a pumpkin patch with pumpkins of all kinds, shapes and sizes, and include a play area, farmyard animals, a petting zoo, apple orchard, hayrides, a farm store etc. etc. etc.  While they share many similarities there are certain aspects that make each one unique and stand out in some way.  Here’s the scoop on some local pumpkin patches and what we like about them.

Willowview Farms – Clearly a family favorite, this has been our go to patch through the years.  It has all the amenities listed above and the best part, it’s FREE and has the best apple cider you’ve ever tasted!   willowviewfarms.com

The Apple Barn – As the name suggests, they are more than just pumpkins, they are an apple orchard and boast some great apple info.  It is run by a husband and wife team and all their 8 children…who wouldn’t want to support them. tavesfamilyfarms.com
The Chilliwack Corn Maze – the name says it all, it has a pumpkin patch but it boasts an incredible corn maze, ride on toys, a giant jump balloon, fire pits and so much more including a Pumpkin Smash Day on November 1st. We are never disappointed when we visit and they seem to make it better every year. chilliwackcornmaze.com

Maan Farms – Maan Farms has a whole lot of fun on one little farm complete with a market.  This farm is open year round but at this time of year they are also a pumpkin patch and even have a haunted corn maze. maanfarms.com
