Social what?
WITHOUT SOUNDING too ancient, it amazes me how technology continues to accelerate change and especially when it comes to communication. It wasn’t that long ago when we were introduced to the World Wide Web and now we have social media; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more with over a billion users.
As a farm boy with an interest in farming, family, and food, I never imagined having the opportunity to share our experiences and insights using such a platform. I can really appreciate the benefits of science and technology that gives so many people the ability to innovate.
At the same time, I believe there is a balance that always needs to be considered. We need to take the time to understand the long-term implications of new technology, so that we are not surprised by unintended consequences. For this reason, we value both a natural approach and innovation when it comes to sustainable farming and food. We love eggs and milk and all of the natural nutrition we get from them. We also think they are some of the best foods to provide extra health benefits, simply by feeding the cows and chickens a healthier diet, whether rich in Omega-3 or Vitamin D.
We believe that prevention is the best medicine and that food can play a big role. So, in the long run, if we can help people think about eating healthy foods, we have accomplished one of our greatest objectives. Health and happiness for all.
Through Words of Wellness, my goal is to empower you with information to help you become more confident when making your food choices. Topics like what is the difference between a free run and caged hen, pasteurized and homogenized Milk, the balance between omega-3 and omega-6, prebiotics and probiotics and more.
I am also very interested to hear from you to provide both feedback and suggestions for future post topics. Thanks!
