We’re all on the same bus

HENRY FORD once said; ‘whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right’.  And we know we have an amazing staff of people who ‘think they can’.

There is something so rewarding in seeing people who do such an amazing job because they believe in what they do and love doing it. In our business we try and get the right people on the bus and then help them find the right seat. Hopefully that seat is so great they want to ride with us but sometimes there’s another bus with a seat better suited for them and that’s okay too because staff come and go from time to time. But right now we have a fantastic bus load and feel so blessed with our crew and we wanted to show our appreciation. We wanted to thank the farm hands, the truckers, the tour guides, the office staff, the marketing crew, the sales staff, the lab techs, the ice cream scoopers and everyone else who is part of our team.

As a way to show our appreciation we hosted a good old fashioned BBQ on our picnic grounds behind the Bakerview EcoDairy. We were fortunate with beautiful weather and enjoyed fun, food and festivities for the whole family. Staff were invited to sign up for a grilling competition (4 teams signed up). The chefs worked the grill while everyone else looked on, enjoyed appetizers, summer beverages, and good company.  One of our truckers, ‘Chef Mikey’ walked away with the title of ‘The Next Nutriva Chef’ and all chefs walked away with a fancy new apron. Meanwhile, we all felt like winners as we feasted on the chicken, ribs, corn on the cob, sensational salads and decadent desserts. The kids who attended hardly took the time to eat as they enjoyed pony rides, painting birdhouses, visiting the animals, blowing bubbles, face painting, eating watermelon and taking home balloons if they didn’t float away. We were delighted with the sunshine, food, festivities and fun had by all. But what really made it great was the people, our AMAZING TEAM!
